The Next Stage of Training for Teachers Preparing to Work with Foreign Children Has Begun

On January 15, 2025, the first specialized training session of the year for teachers took place at School Complex No. 1 in Opatów. This event was organized as part of the "INTEURO – Program for the Integration and Professional Activation of Foreigners in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship" project.

The training is a component of the broader initiative "Professionalization of Staff Working with Third-Country Nationals," aimed at supporting educators in working with foreign students.

Third-country nationals, including children and youth from Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, make up an increasing portion of students in Polish schools. Their presence brings challenges in cultural and educational integration, making it crucial to provide teachers with appropriate preparation for working in a multicultural environment.

During the training, participants gained knowledge about methods that facilitate the adaptation of foreign students, didactic tools to support their learning, and communication strategies that help create a friendly classroom atmosphere. A key element of the event was practical workshops, where teachers had the opportunity to practice specific teaching techniques.

The INTEURO Foreigners Integration Center, which has been operating under the leadership of the "Integration Europe - East" Association for six years, plays a vital role in supporting foreigners in the region. More information about the offered support can be found at www.inteuro.info.

We warmly invite teaching staff who work with foreign students daily to participate in future training sessions. By the end of 2025, we plan to organize seven additional specialized trainings in the following districts: Staszów, Kielce (rural), Włoszczowa, Końskie, Busko, Sandomierz, and Ostrowiec. Participation in the training sessions is free of charge, and the initiative is funded by the "European Funds for Świętokrzyskie 2021-2027" program.

We invite you to collaborate with us!
