Debate on the Development of Volunteering – Join the International Initiative in Kielce!

The city of Kielce is currently implementing the "Yes Volunteer" project under the Interreg Europe Program. The main goal of this initiative is to support youth volunteering as a tool for personal and professional development in a socially engaged Europe. The project is being carried out in cooperation with partners from France, Greece, Romania, Italy, Latvia, Belgium, and Bulgaria.

On March 11-12, 2025, Kielce will host international meetings of project partners and a study visit. During these events, Polish volunteer support programs will be presented, and participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices.

Debate on the NEET Phenomenon and the Role of Volunteering

We cordially invite you to participate in a debate that will take place on March 11, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kielce City Hall (Civil Registry Office Hall, entrance from the multi-level parking lot). The discussion will focus on the NEET phenomenon (young people not in education, employment, or training) and the role of volunteering at the local, national, and European levels.

Networking and Experience Exchange

After the debate, participants will have the opportunity to establish new contacts and exchange experiences during a networking session. The event will be attended by representatives of city authorities, non-governmental organizations, public institutions, and local government representatives from partner countries.

Patronage and European Context

The event is held under the patronage of the Director of the National Institute of Freedom – Center for Civil Society Development and the Ministry for Civil Society Affairs. Additionally, the meeting is part of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, providing an excellent opportunity to emphasize the key values of the EU, such as solidarity, cooperation, and civic engagement.
